Mall rats.

No not the movie. This is more about the new arrival of the Movie Theatre in town. To tell the truth, I never encountered mallrats before, even in the hey-dey where they was a place for said Mallrats to occupy, the Arcade in the mall. However now, it just seems with the arrival of the new movie cineplex, the mall rat population just exploded. Ok maybe not, but it's not really something that can be ignored.

However it isn't at typical mall rat, but more of a combination of smokers and mall rats considering that most of them reside in the un-officially designated smokers pit to the west side of the mall entrance (the side with Safeway on it) which is pretty peculiar.

Also I noticed how downtown, especially the area around with Elena's has become more slummier with the loss of the Lido theatre. It goes to show on how even one building of family entertainment can brighten up an area of the city, and darken it if it's loss.
